The Witness Remains
Coming Soon — Debut Novel
THE WITNESS REMAINS is a completed psychological horror novel of approximately 70,000 words.
Franklin Taylor has spent the last year losing everything he built a sober life to protect — his marriage, his daughter, his own good opinion of himself — one drink at a time. When his mother is found dead in the house he swore he'd never set foot in again, a pending warrant for his arrest turns out to be the only push he needed to finally go home. What he finds there instead is a family curse two centuries in the making, a priest who isn't who he claims to be, and an ancestor who has been waiting, patiently, in the walls, for someone worth wearing.
THE WITNESS REMAINS follows Franklin back to Stone Manor, where his late mother's letters, an heirloom stone passed down through generations, and a woman named Nora — who has her own family history with the house — are the only things standing between what's left of his family and Nathanial Stone, the nineteenth-century patriarch whose cruelty poisoned the land long after his death. When Nathanial takes Franklin's young daughter as the vessel for his return, Franklin is forced to choose between the sobriety he has fought a year to hold onto and the one thing he has never once been able to put down: himself.
