Being Found

Falling for her was easy.

No, it wasn't just her looks. Though she was an exceptional, exquisite beauty. Stunning, especially when she'd wear that diaphanous lavender dress.

My favorite color.

No, it wasn't her beauty that drew me to her.

It wasn't her voice, either. Even though it carried that sweet, sensual quality—the kind that seemed to reach out when she spoke, beckoning you to come closer, close enough to kiss her, to taste her sweet lips.

It wasn't her nervous laughter, or that beautiful smile of hers. The kind that seemed to ask for everything she'd ever wanted, everything she'd ever deserved. A smile that begged you to hold her, while she remained too shy to ask.

It wasn't the way she'd look at you with those beautiful dark eyes, framed by impossibly long lashes.

It wasn't the way she'd stare at you, as though her gaze could pierce through every wall you'd ever built.

Because somehow, she'd find a way through.

She'd climb your walls, cross your moat, conquer your castle—not to take anything from you, but simply to reach the innermost room of your mind.

And then she'd stand there, quietly, peering through the keyhole.

Waiting.

Not forcing the door open.

Just waiting for you to unlock it.

That was what made her dangerous.

She didn't want your body.

She wanted your truth.

She wanted to see the parts of you you'd spent years hiding. The pain. The shame. The thoughts you couldn't say aloud. The places in your mind you'd convinced yourself no one would ever understand.

And somehow, with her, you wanted to show her.

You wanted to surrender.

Not because she demanded it, but because for the first time, you felt safe enough to let go.

To give her a better view of your heart. To let her read the thoughts you'd buried there. To let her touch the scars you thought made you unlovable.

She didn't fall for the version of you that you presented to the world.

She kept looking.

And the longer she looked, the less you wanted to hide.

Maybe that's why falling for her was so easy.

It wasn't because she was beautiful.

It wasn't because of her voice, her smile, her eyes, or even the way she made your heart race.

It was because she saw you.

And somehow, being seen by her felt less like being exposed... and more like finally being found.
